Combined Vocational Training and Degree Programs
This page offers an overview of the different combined vocational training and degree programs available at Manz after finishing high school.
A three-year combined vocational training and degree program at Manz offers a one-of-a-kind combination of theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Every three months, you alternate between attending classes at the university and gaining practical experience at our company. In this context, you will spend time in various departments according to your field of study and, in addition to technical and methodical knowledge, you will acquire the necessary expertise and social skills by completing varied and challenging assignments. Moreover, you will be financially independent right from the first day of the program. In the fourth semester, you will have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad. You can select the country yourself, and Manz will even bear a portion of the costs.
Mark S., DHBW student:
“The degree program "computer science"at the DHBW in Stuttgart is very varied. Theory and practice alternate every three months and are closely coordinated so that I can apply my newly acquired theoretical knowledge into practice at Manz.
Here, I am working independently on real projects that are planned earlier with a supervisor and discussed. My area of responsibility encompasses both technical and planning activities. In addition to the design and development of new software systems, quality assurance by software tests and creating documentations are part of my range of tasks.
At Manz, it gives me great pleasure to take up new challenges every day and being supported by competent and helpful colleagues.“

In addition, you will receive assistance and support in developing social skills, the ability to work in a team, rhetorical, and international language skills during the degree program, since professional life today does not only require a high level of knowledge in your field, but also the ability to integrate into a team and work with your coworkers cooperatively. The degree program also conveys all of these fundamental skills with the goal of helping you get your career at Manz off to a good start and to build a broad foundation for your later professional activities.

Frederic C., student of the “Reutlingen model”:
“Through a combination of vocational training and study, the Reutlingen model is quite varied and exciting. Manz’s close cooperation with the university at Reutlingen offers us great insights during the two-year education. It helps us understand the study material better and in more depth. Besides that, the practical experience we already gain during the training helps a lot during our further study of mechanical engineering. This sophisticated model offers a lot of possibilities and optimally links practice and theory.”
