LCD, which stands for liquid crystal display, is a screen ordisplay whose function is based on the fact that liquid crystals influence light’s direction of polarization when a certain electrical voltage is applied. Nowadays, it would be almost impossible to imagine daily life without this technology. Whether computer monitors, televisions, or operating displays for industrial workstations – flat panel display (FPD) technology is everywhere. In the future, interaction between the user and the display (touch screens) will play an increasingly important role, especially with regard to industrial applications.
The Manz Group is represented in the value-added process in the manufacture of FPD equipment with both the automation of the production process as well as the complete wet-chemical process chain: From cleaning the substrates to etching and reworking (recycling damaged substrates).
