Combined Vocational Training and Degree Programs

A three-year combined vocational training and degree program at Manz offers a one-of-a-kind combination of theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Every three months, you alternate between attending classes at the university and gaining practical experience at our company. In this context, you will spend time in various departments according to your field of study and, in addition to technical and methodical knowledge, you will acquire the necessary expertise and social skills by completing varied and challenging assignments. Moreover, you will be financially independent right from the first day of the program. In the fourth semester, you will have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad. You can select the country yourself, and Manz will even bear a portion of the costs.

Florian W., DHBW student (mechatronics):

"Mechatronic systems have become a staple of high-tech equipment manufacturing. We get a theoretical background in the subject at the DHBW in Horb in the mechatronics course, which serves as a link between the traditional degrees of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and IT. At the very start of the course I learned how closely theory and practice are connected. I learned the basics in the training workshop at Manz, which was very useful when it came to understanding the course content. The practical phase also includes working in various departments. I've already been able to use the technical knowledge I gained in the different departments where I've had experience."

Eric K., student on the "Reutlingen Model":

"The combined "Reutlingen Model" degree course is really varied and is a great combination of theory and professional practice. The mix of training in the company, at the college and at the university makes the week interesting and varied. Thanks to Manz's close cooperation with the college and the university, I'll already be getting ideal preparation for my exams and essays during my two-year apprenticeship. If I have any questions I can contact my trainers at any time, and they're really supportive. Choosing the "Reutlingen Model" at Manz was a very easy decision because it gives me the opportunity to work on new technologies and lets me follow my personal interests."
