Software Developer / Software Architect (m/f/d) in the field of Future Battery Technologies

Job description

At our entity in Sasso Marconi (Bologna), Italy, we are seeking several Software Developers / Software Architects (m/f/d) to support the market-driven development of new production lines for the battery market of the future. 

Your responsibilities

  • Technical conception and design of software solutions in the fields of PLC technology, HMI, digitalization (AI) and/or MES systems for our process machines
  • Collaboration in the team for the mechatronic development of machines and production solutions as well as its validation and implementation
  • Supporting the application of the newly developed software solution in development and customer projects within the scope of product launches / releases
  • Close collaboration and communication with internal as well as external interfaces regarding requirements, solutions and procedures

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science, systems engineering and/or automation technology or a comparable education
  • Several years of professional experience in the design and implementation of software solutions, ideally in the context of machine and data processing in mechanical engineering and production equipment industry
  • Good knowledge of PLC and object-oriented programming (e.g. according to IEC-61131-3, C++, C# and JavaScript)
  • Good knowledge of analytics or data analysis is desirable
  • Ideally practical experience in the area of digitalization solutions and/or in the integration of production equipment to higher-level systems (MES systems)
  • High level of self-motivation, strong problem-solving skills and a structured, independent approach with the ability to implement concepts into code
  • Very good grasp of technical processes, functions, requirements and interrelationships (mechanical, electrical, sensorial) as well as the ability to empathize with operators / customers
  • Systematic and analytical thinking as well as high flexibility, reliability and resilience
  • Very good written and spoken English skills complete your profile
