Manz AG has today reached a mutual agreement with Volker Renz, its Chief Operating Officer, to sever his contract with effect from September 30, 2011. After a number of highly successful years with the company, Mr. Renz is stepping down from the Management Board by mutual agreement with the proprietors and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Professor Heiko Aurenz. His departure stems from differences of opinion regarding the future strategic orientation of the company and how this should be implemented.
Volker Renz joined Manz AG in 2003 and was appointed to the post of COO in 2007. The mutual trust established over this period through consistently constructive cooperation still persists in the bond of friendship between Mr Renz and his Management Board colleagues and Supervisory Board members.
The company and its employees would like to thank Volker Renz for his commitment over many years.
Negotiations are currently taking place with potential successors. Until this process has been successfully completed, the duties of the COO will be shared between Dieter Manz, CEO Manz AG, and CFO Martin Hipp.
