Manz Automation AG, one of the world’s leading producers of automation solutions, quality assurance and laser process technology for the photovoltaic and LCD industry, again increases its forecast for the current fiscal year 2007. The company acquired further new orders in the crystalline and thin film solar cells divisions, so that the order volume rose to over EUR 80 million at the end of May 2007. The executive board now expects sales in the amount of EUR 65 million to EUR 68 million for the fiscal year 2007. The EBIT guidance correspondingly increases to between EUR 8.1 million and EUR 8.5 million. As recently as May, the company had set a sales objective between EUR 60 million and EUR 63 million as well as EBIT of EUR 6.0 million to EUR 6.5 million. The increased guidance corresponds with an increase in sales of over 50% compared to the previous fiscal year (2006: EUR 44 million)
On average, the production time for orders lies between six and nine months. Thus, the lion’s share of the current order volume will already take effect within the current fiscal year. Thanks to the strong growth forecast for the entire market, especially photovoltaics, the Reutlingen-based engineering company still expects significant double-digit growth rates with sales and earnings for the coming fiscal year 2008.
