At our entity in Sasso Marconi (Bologna), Italy, we are seeking a Mechanical Design Technical Project Leader (m/f/d) to support the market-driven development of new production lines for the battery market of the future.
Your responsibilities
- Mechanical design with 3D-CAD as well as creation of production-ready drawings for individual parts and assembly groups
- Conception and design of automation and process machines (incl. research and implementing new techniques and technologies for high speed continuous automation)
- Support and coordination of external designers, customers and suppliers
- Ensuring that deadlines and costs are met, and quality is maintained
- Design of mechanical and/or electrical CAM, kinematic and dynamic analysis, multibody motion analysis
- Executing Design FMEA
- Supporting prototyping and validation
- Preparation of parts lists and risk analyses
- Close cooperation and coordination with product management as well as HW/SW team, process development, commissioning, and assembly departments to develop design methodology, functional requirements, and execute concept
Your profile
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or precision engineering or completed technical training with further training as a technician or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience in mechanical design of series and/or tailor-made production equipment for automated process machines, coming from the tobacco or food sector is an advantage
- Experience in virtual commissioning and digital twin
- CAE/FEM analysis would be considered as a plus
- Experience in handling technology / robotics is an advantage
- Ideally already knowledge in the manufacturing process of battery cells and systems
- Sound knowledge in parametric CAD-System, preferably in SolidEdge
- Experience in guiding and supervising design teams is desirable
- Independent, structured and accurate way of working with a high willingness to familiarize yourself with our product range and new requirements
- Creativity team-oriented personality and problem-solving skill are recommended to get the job done
- Very good English skills as well as willingness to travel complete your profile, German is a plus
