12/04/2019 07:30:00 CET Further follow-up order from a long-standing customer in the consumer electronics sector | Order from a new customer in the field of electronic devices | Total order volume almost 40 million euros | Dynamic order development underlines potential in Energy Storage segment
Manz AG, a global high-tech equipment manufacturer with a comprehensive technology portfolio, is continuing the positive trend of recent weeks in incoming orders in the Energy Storage segment with orders from two customers totaling almost 40 million euros. In addition to a further follow-up order worth almost 20 million euros from a leading global battery manufacturer in the consumer electronics sector, an order already expected at the beginning of the year from a US battery manufacturer in the electronic devices sector with a volume of around 20 million euros was won.
The increasingly positive trend in orders over the course of the year, with a total volume of around 75 million euros, underlines the potential offered by consumer electronics and electronic devices in the Energy Storage segment. The decisive criteria here, battery life and size, can be significantly influenced by the production technology used. Manz has developed systems that can be used to produce very powerful batteries, taking both factors into account. This in turn has a positive effect on the properties of the end devices – with corresponding competitive advantages for Manz customers, who can rely on the company's almost 50 years of expertise in production machines for microcapacitors and the winding of battery cells in the micrometer range.
Martin Drasch, CEO of Manz AG: "This year's major orders from the consumer electronics and electronic devices sectors illustrate the potential that the growing market for mobile end devices in the Energy Storage segment offers us in addition to the automotive industry. We are optimistic that we will be able to take this momentum with us into the new year and then benefit from the growth opportunities offered by the recently adopted political measures to promote electric mobility.“
