Manz Automation AG, one of the world’s leading producers of automation solutions, quality assurance and laser processing systems for the photovoltaic and LCD industry, has won a new order with a total volume of over 18 million EUR from a leading supplier of technology solutions to the electronics industry. The order comprises the delivery of laser scribing machines. As result of this new contract, the order backlog as of March 2007 rises to more than 60 million EUR – a record high in the history of Manz Automation AG. Therefore, the management increases the guidance for fiscal year 2007 to revenues of 60 – 63 million EUR and a double-digit EBIT margin.
CEO Dieter Manz is excited about the new contract: “We expand our close co-operation for the automation of inline sputter machines within the LCD industry into the photovoltaic industry. Our technological synergies between the LCD technology and the photovoltaic technology clearly pay off!” Besides laser scribing machines Manz Automation has also gained strong experience in the production of automation systems for photovoltaic production lines.
