The supervisory board of Manz Automation AG, one of the world’s leading producers of automation solutions, quality assurance and laser process technology for the photovoltaic and LCD industry, has assigned Volker Renz as new Chief Operating Officer (COO) as of May 1, 2007. Volker Renz (39), graduate in civil engineering (UAS), has already been head of materials handling and process engineering within the Manz Automation AG since October 2003. Moreover, he gained broad entrepreneurial experience as former director of a manufacturing shop for mechanical parts in the years 1997 to 2003.
In addition to purchasing and procurement, Mr. Renz will also be responsible for production and logistics. Dieter Manz, CEO: “With the creation of an additional executive position for operations, we make allowance for the significantly growing operating business. Herewith, we ensure to meet a strong growing market with an optimal organizational structure.”
