03/17/2014 17:45:00 CET For the first time Manz AG will present its expertise in laser processing products and solutions at industry trade fair „Laser World of Photonics“ in Shanghai from March 18-20, 2014.

  • First presentation of German high-tech engineering firm at purely technology-focused exhibition
  • Leading position in combining the know how of laser, optics, automation and image processing into a fully integrated laser system for the production of touch panels, solar modules and battery systems
  • CEO Dieter Manz: “We have an edge in the market thanks to our systems approach combining laser source, automation, optics and processing.”

For the first time Manz AG will present its expertise in laser processing products and solutions at industry trade fair „Laser World of Photonics“ in Shanghai from March 18-20, 2014. Laser processing is one of six key technologies the German high-tech engineering firm is focussing on. In Shanghai Manz will show multiple laser systems solutions which combine the laser source with automation, vision, optics and processing tools. “This is how we stand out in the laser processing market,” explains Dieter Manz, founder and CEO of the company,”because we are not just an equipment manufacturer but a solutions provider covering various and often very challenging steps in laser application.”

The main focus of Manz technology-driven approach right now is the secure and rapid manufacturing of smartphones, tablets, solar panels and battery systems at its customers fabs. With almost 30 years of experience Manz has accumulated expertise in various applications for many electronics industries. In regard to laser processing, Manz modular machine concept and the close collaboration between its R&D team and leading German laser research institutes, Manz offers short delivery times, very fast prototyping and a stable serial production to its customers.

Laser systems, not just laser Tools
“At Manz we are in a market leading position for laser processes in micro-machining for various applications, such as cutting, scribing and ablating layers like compound semiconductors, metals or dielectric layers. In addition to these applications, we offer laser equipment and solutions for drilling, cutting, welding, and ablation of large areas“, says Hanson Han, General Manager of Manz Suzhou, “by engineering complex systems solutions we take away a lot of headache from our clients in industries with lots of investment risk involved.” In the future, Manz plans to establish various partnerships with Asian electronics manufacturers in order to fully utilize its laser processing know-how, whether in stand-alone laser processing systems or laser processing stations in a fully-automated production system.
